What age did you start?

Age 3. My mum took me to a trampolining class to keep me occupied and to stop jumping on the sofa and down the stairs.

What do you enjoy about gymnastics?

It's an honest sport - the more you put in, the more progress you see, and it's great to see yourself getting better and better. I also love the team element, it's social and supportive.

What’s the hardest thing about gymnastics?

The discipline to turn up week after week, and to find the self-motivation to work hard.

ADVICE

Gymnastics is like pretty much everything else in life (although much more magnified and intense) - if you set yourself a clear goal, turn up, do the practice, and push yourself slightly outside of your comfort zone every day, you can achieve all that you want.
