James Langley qualifies for National Trampoline League Finals for DMT

Today at the Welsh National Centre in Cardiff, James Langley represented Bracknell GC in the Men's Super League and also in the 15-18 year olds' League 1 Double Mini Trampoline competition. 

James trains DMT as a compliment to his TeamGym training. Along with his coaching commitments he can usually only train once a week with his DMT coach - 3 times world Champion and Level 5 coach Kylie Walker from Edgbarrow Trampoline Club. In the Super League James finished 6th, but came back stronger than ever in his age group, entering the finals in 1st place and finishing 2nd overall. His performance also qualified him for the National League Finals at the Copper Box (Olympic stadium) in London in November. James has more skills in preparation with Kylie and is keen to have these ready for his next competition.

New Level 2 Coach

Congratulations to James Langley on passing his Level 2 TeamGym Coaching exam today at Bexhill-on-sea. 

Getting to Level 2  involves progressing through the preliminary grades, attending courses, working with mentors, completing a logbook, online study and tests, two theory papers and a practical exam. All in all it costs about £2,250 to produce a Level 2 coach. 

Special thanks also to the gymnasts who gave up their Sunday to help out and behaved like angels. 

James' first assignment as 'Coach in Charge' will be next Saturday, while the Coaching Managers are away. 

Scottish Training Camp & Triple Training Course

At the Scottish TeamGym Training Camp at Dundee, Chris Bennett and Lewis Jones successfully passed module 1a for triple somersault training. They were selected for this training based on their Level 5 coaching qualification and the readiness of 3 Bracknell Gymnasts who have made the criteria to be entered onto the Triple Salto register with British Gymnastics. Those gymnasts are Connor Wharram, James Langley and Joseph Torpey. Congratulations to the Gymnasts and Coaches on being selected for this prestigious opportunity.
